As far as I’m aware, there hasn’t yet been a Nia class in Newcastle upon Tyne. But there’s a first time for everything. After repeated requests from a number of people, I’ve finally booked a hall and made the arrangements.
I’m now looking forward to teaching a Nia taster in Gosforth on 20 November at St Aidan’s Community Centre on Brunton Park. The class is open to all, there’s no need to book and entry will be by donation.
The idea is to let people know that Nia exists, that just about anyone can do it and that it has considerable health benefits.
Nia students from around the world have written of the benefits they have experienced on the main Nia website.
Closer to home, a number have have shared some moving testimonials of what Nia has done for them on the Nia Technique UK page. Their stories include weight loss, recovery from anxiety attacks, how Nia has provided an emotional and social support for them as well as a way of improving their fitness.
So what could Nia do for you? Why not join us in Gosforth and find out for yourself?
