Happy Easter! A few days late, I know, but I took a bit of a break. I hope you had a chance to re-charge your batteries too. I took a morning and a couple of afternoons off, but otherwise it was business as usual with a meeting at the weekend and my usual Monday and Tuesday classes (my real break is coming up in April – I’m taking a week off from teaching Nia classes beginning 11 April).
The weekend meeting was a get-together with Kelly and Sarah to prepare the Nourish Move Love Launch Party which happens this coming Saturday ,2 April. We’re really excited about it and would love you to join us on Saturday for a relaxed, fun morning get-together when we’ll be sharing a taster of what’s in store if you decide to join us for our new three part programme. Could you let us know as soon as possible if you’ll be joining us (just so we can prepare the room and refreshments). Let me know at today’s class or contact me now to confirm. Launch party details here.
Have a great week – and hope to see you Saturday
Nia Move of the Week – Duck Walk
This is another excellent move for your calves and shins and can be done standing or even sitting forward on a firm chair, starting with your feet flat on the floor.
When standing, have your feet slightly apart, outside edges parallell (open stance is good) and knees relaxed. Lift one foot then the other – but just the toes and balls of the feet – and then lower them to the floor as if slapping the floor. On a wooden or tiled floor in bare feet, this makes a really good “Quack!” sound.
